The Jesus Question. Who was Jesus Christ? We like to be scientific on this website.
Our favorite expert on the Jesus Question is Dr. Richard Carrier. While we are fairly aligned with Dr. Carrier’s scientific conclusions about Jesus Christ, we are not aligned with Dr. Carrier in terms of his belief in “naturalism.” Naturalism is a belief system that rejects everything supernatural and paranormal. We at this site do not reject the supernatural and paranormal, however, we do try to be as scientific as we feel is reasonable.
Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama once said: “If science proves some belief of Buddhism wrong, then Buddhism will have to change. In my view, science and Buddhism share a search for the truth and for understanding reality. By learning from science about aspects of reality where its understanding may be more advanced, I believe that Buddhism enriches its own worldview.”
We at this website will try to apply this philosophy as reasonably as we feel we can. And we will start with the Jesus Question. Our opinion is that Dr. Carrier has come the closest to finding the truth about Jesus Christ.

After reading and digesting many of Dr. Carrier’s books, our opinion is that Jesus Christ was, and likely still is, an angelic entity in the heavens or “astral plane” or “spirit world” whose story unfolded not on planet earth but somewhere in the heavens or the astral plane or the spirit world. We will not go so far as to say “Jesus did not exist.” Because as this site attests: “angels are real.” We can’t prove it. We can’t disprove it. Many supernatural and paranormal things can’t be scientifically proved or disproved. Many, if not most beliefs people hold about the supernatural and paranormal tend to boil down to “opinion.” But the supernatural and paranormal can be accepted or rejected. We have our opinions and you have yours. We believe in a modus vivendi liberalist approach aka “a libertarian approach” on these matters, where different viewpoints can peacefully coexist. We are quite open to accepting the possibility that in addition to angels being real, Jesus Christ was also an angel, and that he appeared to certain individuals in history by way of “visions.”
Additionally, our point of view serves as something of a compromise and an olive branch we are extending to fundamentalist Christians. For the time being, we can meet them halfway. We may be critical, but we’re not their enemy as long as they don’t declare us as their enemy.
